QNET has been made aware of the publication by dakaractu.com falsely suggesting that the company is linked to the case of the 24 arrested individuals which include some Guineans, Gambians and Senegalese in the Liberté 1 District. QNET dissociates itself from the purported activities of the arrest persons and cautions against the inaccurate and malicious description of the company as a human-trafficking network. While we commend the efforts of the police and continue to seek ways to collaborate with security and regulatory agencies, we take this opportunity to clarify our stance, QNET’s business model and explain actions we are taking to fight the misrepresentation.
QNET is a prominent lifestyle and wellness company that uses a direct selling business model to offer a wide selection of exclusive products that enable individuals to embrace a healthier, more balanced life. We sell our products and services to customers around the world through our e-commerce portal. Many customers choose to become distributors of our products by registering as independent representatives and earning commissions on the products they sell.
QNET takes allegations of illegal migration and human trafficking seriously. QNET does not condone illegal migration from one country to another as anyone could conduct QNET business or transaction using a mobile device or computer anywhere they are, without travelling to another country.
QNET’s Regional General Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa, Mr. Biram Fall, strongly denies allegations that QNET is a human trafficking network. “Emphasizing the company’s commitment to changing public perceptions, we are collaborating with the media, security services, and other stakeholders,” Mr. Fall stated. “We have successfully partnered with law enforcement in Senegal, such as in the case of the arrest and legal action against an individual in Tambacounda who was fraudulently misrepresenting QNET for personal gain. QNET remains dedicated to working with security and government agencies across the region to prevent misuse of its name and to facilitate criminal action against those exploiting its brand for scams or illegal activities.”
QNET has initiated a WhatsApp Compliance Hotline (+233256630005) since 1 September 2023 to combat misuse of its name by reporting unethical activities in Sub-Saharan Africa, including countries like Senegal, Ghana, and Nigeria, supporting both French and English speakers. Concurrently, QNET is leading the Say No Campaign in Senegal, aimed at educating communities about the dangers of fraudulent job offers that lead to human trafficking, involving radio commercials, mounted billboards in French and Wolof in Dakar, Saint Louis, Mbour and Thies, and leveraging our social media and YouTube channel to disseminate campaign materials.
