QNET, a global lifestyle and wellness focused direct selling company was made aware of a new report published by Seneweb with the headline; “QNET mafia dismantled: seven scammers arrested in Saint-Louis for human trafficking,” published on 27 June 2024. QNET strongly refutes the assertion that the individuals mentioned in the story committed the alleged offences on the behest of the company.
QNET wishes to underscore that there has been a rise in the number of incidents where individuals and groups seem to be misusing its brand name to conduct illegal or criminal activities.
“This has been a serious cause for alarm for the company and we have taken steps to educate and warn the public about this through our Say No campaign over the last few months. We have installed billboards in several languages in different cities, we have implemented a radio campaign to warn people to not fall for scams in its name, we have an ongoing social media campaign. We have also distributed flyers in many cities where these incidents seem to be occurring,” says Biram Fall, the Regional General Manager for QNET.
QNET is a lifestyle and wellness company that uses a direct selling business model to promote its exclusive products that help people live a healthier, more fulfilling life. The company’s direct selling business model allows individuals to become independent distributors of the product and build their own sales business promoting the products and earning sales commissions on them. All QNET IRs are bound by the terms and conditions of the company’s business and are expected to conduct themselves professionally. The company takes allegations of illegal or fraudulent activity very seriously and will take strong action against anyone misrepresenting QNET.
QNET has established a compliance hotline on WhatsApp to receive reports of fraudulent activities being conducted in its name.
